I’m currently working full-time as a freelance writer and editor in Atlanta. I write features, news stories, blog posts, tweets and more about art, design, culture, tech, social media, social good and sustainability.
What I’m doing now: helping non-profits improve their social strategies as a staff writer for Socialbrite.org and writing for Design Bureau, a print magazine about design. In the recent past, I’ve written for Creative Loafing Atlanta and Patch.com.
In addition to journalistic writing, I currently manage the blog of a business consultant and do ghostwriting for businesses. I’ve edited blogs and copy for a interior design business, ghostwritten blogs about sustainability for an HVAC company and more. Blogging and social media are specialties of mine, and I’ve spent a lot of time (and continue to do so) learning about these subjects. But that’s not all I do.
Recently, I worked part-time in the digital media department of The Center for Sustainable Journalism, writing about the future of journalism for the blog and helping to produce JJIE.org, a daily news publication about juvenile justice and youth issues, by managing successful social media accounts and Tumblr blogs about LGBT issues, addiction and sex trafficking.
