About

I’m a recent graduate with a sparkling and well-deserved degree in magazines, or more appropriately journalism. I also achieved certificates in creative writing and new media (whoo-hoo, for whatever it’s worth).
Above all, I love writing—whether it be feature writing, fiction, poetry or some other category that engages words.
I’ve always written ever since I can remember, although most of my early writing is about dust mites, gardens and a mouse named Meecy (in other words, no one would really want to read it, and I wouldn’t let them if they tried).
I’ve worked for several newspapers and magazines and done a bit of freelance writing. I’m always wanting to create fiction or poetry and to discover other opportunities offered by journalism.
I most like writing about passionate people, people who wake up in the morning and feel alive (not only jolted by coffee). I like investigating, understanding and sharing the passions of others.
In order to enjoy life—and why go on otherwise—you must thrive with passion. The best thing about passion is that it can be anything, whether it’s crafting delicate, metal butterflies by hand, working towards making people more aware of energy-efficient fuels, or being a really excellent father.
I also love to design and create, especially involving color. I have experience with magazine layout and design, newsletter design and some web design (I am not a programmer, however; but I may be someday when gravity is less wicked and time more fluid).
