I’m Writing A Novel In November

nanowrimo 2011 lindsay oberstI’m writing a novel this month for NaNoWriMo, when writers around the world get together and attempt to write 50,000 words during November. Since I’ll be writing so much fiction, I won’t be posting as much to my blogs for now.

I also wrote about how journalists can join the National Novel Writing Month party.

Are you doing NaNoWriMo too? Have you ever? Some people say its a waste of time and hard to write something good in such a short span of time, but there are certainly worse ways to spend time than writing. Anyone who tries is sure to learn a few lessons even if they don’t finish. I attempted in 2009, and although I didn’t finish, I value the experience.
